Completion of Exploration Program for the Kouilou Potash Project

MagMinerals plans to use the Carnallite resources of the Makola Mining License for an annual production of 580 kt of K60 and within a second phase utilise the magnesium compounds in Carnallite for a production of magnesium metal. The mostly granular KCl will be supplied to markets in South Africa, Brazil and Europe.
In this context an extensive exploration program has been projected and geologically supervised by ERCOSPLAN since 2004. This program was finalised with 23 km of 2D seismic survey and the 12th drill hole.
As result resources for a mine lifetime of more than 36 years were detected. On this basis the Bankable Feasibility Study will be finalised still within 2007.

ERCOSPLAN Group of Companies is a well-versed engineering and consulting office with more than 50 years of experience in conventional and solution mining projects world-wide. With an annual turnover of more than 10 mio EURO and about 130 high qualified employees tailor-made solutions for the most different mining projects are distributed at a high quality level.

On the photographs above Mr Hagen Hopf, one of the geologists of ERCOSPLAN responsible for the drilling supervision, is explaining the project to an official delegation consisting of Pierre Oba (Ministre des Mines, des Industries Minières et de la Géologie), Pacifique Issoibeka (Ministre des Finances et du Budget), Jean Richard Bruno Itoua (Ministre de l'Energie et de l'Hydraulique), Taty Loutard (Ministre d'Etat, Ministre des Hydrocarbures).
